New war artwork for aircraft crews on the way – Source: Kompas April 17, 1945
The work of art that will be unveiled in Oud-Beijerland on 6 June for aircraft crews killed in this region in WWV was picked up in ‘s-Gravendeel last week. The Foundation “Air War Memorial Hoeksche Waard 1940-1945” has had the impressive work of art made to realize a lasting memory for the men who gave their lives for the liberation of our country. The unveiling is on June 6 at 11 am on Anthonie van Leeuwenhoekstraat in the Bosschen industrial estate (close to the Klein Profijt visitor center. Text / photo Arie Pieters)
Nieuw oorlogskunstwerk vliegtuigbemanningen op weg – Bron: Kompas 17 april 1945
Het kunstwerk dat op 6 juni in Oud-Beijerland onthult gaat worden voor de in deze regio in WWV gesneuvelde vliegtuigbemanningen is vorige week in ‘s-Gravendeel opgehaald. De Stichting “Monument Luchtoorlog Hoeksche Waard 1940-1945” heeft het indrukwekkende kunstwerk laten maken om een blijvende herinnering te realiseren voor de mannen, die hun leven gaven voor de bevrijding van ons land. De onthulling is op 6 juni om om 11.00 uur aan de Anthonie van Leeuwenhoekstraat in het industrieterrein de Bosschen (dichtbij het bezoekerscentrum Klein Profijt. Tekst/foto Arie Pieters)
