The book ‘One of our aircraft is missing’ was published in 2002, written by Wim Wüst and Hans Onderwater. The book is subtitled ‘The air war above the Hoeksche Waard 1940-1945’. This book tells the stories of the planes and pilots that were shot down in the region. Illustrated with black and white photos and maps and with checklist of aircraft and crews, bibliography and list of subscribers. A few years earlier, Wim Wüst gave a lecture and expressed the hope that his findings would be published in a book. When the time came, in May 2002, the press paid a lot of attention to the presentation of the book. Not least because the first copy was awarded to Prince Bernhard.
In 2002 verscheen het boek ‘One of our aircraft is missing’, geschreven door Wim Wüst en Hans Onderwater. Het boek heeft als ondertitel ‘De luchtoorlog boven de Hoeksche Waard 1940-1945’. In dit boek staan de verhalen van de vliegtuigen en piloten die in de regio neergehaald werden. Geïllustreerd met zwart-wit foto’s en kaarten en met checklist van toestellen en bemanningen, bibliografie en lijst van intekenaren. Enkele jaren daarvoor gaf Wim Wüst al een lezing en sprak hij de hoop uit dat zijn bevindingen in een boek zouden worden gepubliceerd. Toen het zover was, in mei 2002, werd er in de pers veel aandacht besteed aan de presentatie van het boek. Niet in de laatste plaats omdat het eerste exemplaar werd uitgereikt aan Prins Bernhard.
